Fall 2010 Specialty Dining

Southern Exposure is offering eight unique dining experiences this fall, beginning with "Starry, Starry Night" on Sept. 24 and concluding with "The Camelot" on Dec. 19.

Along the way, you'll enjoy the very best in regional cuisine, transporting your palette from the sun-drenched villas of Tuscany to the historic homes of Plymouth, Mass. All specialty dining events are held on the grounds of Southern Exposure. Friday and Saturday events start at 6:30 p.m.; Sunday events start at 1:00 p.m. Prices include all food, a wine selection, valet parking, 18% gratuity and tax. Did You Know?

In 1797, George Washington's Scottish farm manager James Anderson encouraged him to build a whiskey distillery adjacent to the gristmill. The distillery was the largest in America, producing 11,000 gallons of whiskey in 1799, making it one of the most successful economic enterprises at Mount Vernon.

Fall 2010 Specialty Dining Spotlight:

The Mount Vernon (SE-300): Bring your appetite, drop a napkin in your lap, and prepare to be delighted by favorites recalled from 18th Century Virginia. The menu includes zesty corn-crab chowder soup, colonial caesar salad with roasted cherry tomatoes, roasted cornish game hen with orange-teriyaki sauce, couscous with currents and pine nuts, pineapple-glazed acorn squash, George’s cherry pie à la mode, and a glass of wine selected by our Sommelier This event takes place on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at 6:30 p.m. Register now!
